RE: APPROVE THREE QUIT CLAIM DEEDS CONCERNING MINERAL INTERESTS
LOCATED IN SE≤, SECTION 30 , TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH, RANGE 65 WEST,
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a request to
disclaim any rights which it may have in the mineral interests
located in the SEa, Section 30 , Township 5 North, Range 65 West of
the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deems it advisable
to approve three Quit Claim Deeds conveying all mineral interests
the Board may have to the present owners, copies of said Deeds
being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the three Quit Claim
Deeds for the hereinabove mentioned parcel, conveying all mineral
interests the Board may have to the present owners, be , and hereby
are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Quit Claim Deeds.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded , adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
March, A.D. , 1987.

Three (3) Quit Claim Deeds for Mineral
Subject: Interests Located in Section 30, Township 5
North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M.
In 1909 and 1921 , the Board of County Commissioners received deeds
to parcels located in Section 30, Township 5 North, Range 65 West
for road purposes. The minerals underneath the parcels were not
part of the conveyances. The parcels may have been used at some
point in time as a roadway.
Mr. Bill Crews is now drilling for oil in the southeast < of
Section 30 . He is asking the Board to disclaim any rights which
the Board may have in the mineral interests under the parcels.
hHis title attorneys are saying that the deeds of 1909 and 1921
create a cloud on the titles concerning the minerals. If the
Board disclaims interests in the minerals, the cloud will
dissipate and the sun will shine again on Mr. Crews.
Tom David asked me to present three (3) Quit Claim Deeds to the
Board on Monday, March 2 , 1987. The Quit Claim Deeds convey all
interests the Board may have in the minerals to the "present
owners of the minerals. " These Deeds will clear up the titles to
the minerals.
