HomeMy WebLinkAbout890261.tiff RESOLUTION RE : RATIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT OF GEORGE WARD TO REPRESENT CITY OF FORT LUPTON AND CORRECTION TO EXPIRATION DATE OF COMMISSIONER BRANTNER ON WELD 911 EMERGENCY TELPEHONE SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section III of an Inter- governmental Agreement for establishment of the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board, one member of said Board is to be selected by the Fort Lupton City Council , and WHEREAS , the Board has been informed that the Fort Lupton City Council has appointed Police Chief George Ward to replace Jack Hurst on said Board, and WHEREAS , the Board deems it advisable to ratify the appointment of George Ward to the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board , with his term to expire the second Tuesday in January, 1990 , and WHEREAS, Commissioner Gene Brantner was, by Resoluiton, appointed to said Board in December, 1988 , said Resolution erroneously stated that his term would expire July 13 , 1990 , and WHEREAS , the Board deems it advisable to correct the expiration date of Commissioner Gene Brantner on said Board, to expire the second Tuesday in January, 1990 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the appointment of George Ward to the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board be, and hereby is , ratified, with his term to expire as stated above. Chief Ward will return from the FBI Academy on March 23, 1989. During the interim, Acting Chief Mike Campbell will serve in the capacity. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
