RE: APPROVE DECLARING CERTAIN COUNTY VEHICLE AS SURPLUS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Accounting Department has advised the Board of
County Commissioners that a 1973 Tandem Dump Truck, unit number
15460003 , has been involved in an accident and determined to be
irreparable, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined, upon the recommendation of
the Accounting Department, that said vehicle be removed from the
asset list and properly disposed of.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the 1973 Tandem Dump
Truck, unit number 15460003 , be , and hereby is, declared surplus
and removed from the asset list.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Engineering
Department be, and hereby is , authorized to appropriately dispose
of said vehicle.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 24th day of
April, A.D. , 1985 .

Dear Mr. Becker:
This letter is in regards to the total loss of a 1973 Tandem Dump Truck
involved in the above listed accident. As per our conversation of 4/16/85,
the actual cash value or market value of this vehicle is the approximate
range of $12,000. Therefore, I am making payment to Weld County in the
amount of $12,000 for the property damage on this vehicle. We asked that
you send this office a title for the above listed vehicle. The $12,000
figure which I expressed above is a total loss on this vehicle and any
proceeds from salvage from this vehicle will be returned directly into
the Weld County Insurance Fund. If you have any further questions in
regards to this matter, please feel free to contact me at my office.
