RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING REQUEST OF WELD COUNTY SCHOOL
DISTRICT RE-3J FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter , is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board has received a request from Weld County
School District RE-3J that school bus warning signs be placed on
Weld County Road 18 west of its intersection with Weld County Road
37, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to refer
this request to the Weld County Engineering Department for
recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request from Weld
County School District RE-3J concerning the placement of school
bus warning signs be , and hereby is, referred to the Weld County
Engineering Department for recommendation.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of
September, A.D. , 1987 .

Dear Couuuissioners,
Our school district would like to request that some kind of school
bus warning sign be placed on Weld County Road 18 just west of Weld
County Road 37 on or just before the first large hill. We have a
bus stop and turn around just below that hill at the first driveway
that goes north. We cannot turn around in the driveway because of sand.
This is a very dangerous situation and would appreciate your consideration.
