RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF 30-MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON
EAST 16TH STREET FROM THE GREELEY CITY LIMITS TO FERN AVENUE
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Road and Bridge Department has recommended to
the Board that speed limit signs be installed on East 16th Street
from the Greeley City limits to Fern Avenue , and
WHEREAS , after consideration, the Board determined that said
30-mile per hour speed limit signs on East 16th Street from the
Greeley City limits to Fern Avenue are necessary for the
protection of the general public , and
WHEREAS, the Board further deems it appropriate that the
existing speed limit signs on East 16th Street be removed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Road and Bridge
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install 30-mile per hour
speed limit signs on East 16th Street from the Greeley City limits
to Fern Avenue , removing the existing speed limit signs, and the
newly erected signs shall conform to the State Manual on Uniform
Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
August, A .D. , 1987 .
