RE: ISSUANCE OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS - 1623 JOINT
VENTURE LIMITED PARTNERSHIP
A public hearing was conducted on June 24, 1985, at 9:00 A.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman
Commissioner Gene Brantner, Pro-Tem
Commissioner C.W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Tommie Antuna
Weld County Attorney, Thomas 0. David
Director of Finance, Donald Warden
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated June 3, 1985, and duly
published June 6, 1985, in the Johnstown Breeze, a public hearing was
conducted to consider the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue
Bonds to 1623 Joint Venture Limited Partnership in the aggregate
principal amount of $6,600,000. Mr. Warden presented this item to the
Board. He said it was the Board's understanding that the Inducement
Resolution, which had been issued December 5, 1984, had expired May 16,
1985. This project has been delayed due to litigation which has now
been resolved. It was his understanding that a new hearing must be
scheduled and a new Inducement Resolution issued. Mr. Warden stated
that he had been in contact with Julie Doyle, who is in charge of
allocations for the State Department, and she had informed him that the
law does not specifically require that there be a new hearing and
another Resolution. She said their preference is to use the previously
issued Inducement Resolution. Commissioner Brantner moved that no
action be taken at this time, and that Mr. Warden be authorized to
pursue the $6,600,000 Allocation Certificate from the Department of
Local Affairs for this project. Commissioner Lacy seconded the motion
and it carried unanimously.
