RE: APPROVE ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING REQUEST FROM TOWN OF
LA SALLE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board received a request from the Town of
La Salle for general repair and maintenance of Second Avenue
Court, a street outside of the Town ' s boundaries, and
WHEREAS , the Board did, by Resolution dated April 13 , 1988 ,
refer said request to the Engineering Department for its
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, said road has been maintained by the Engineering
Department in the past, and the Department recommends that
maintenance continue, and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deems it advisable
to accept the recommendation of the Engineering Department , with
said road to be included in the annual road report which is
submitted to the State, and
WHEREAS, the Board further deems it advisable to attempt to
obtain Quit Claim Deeds from the abutting landowners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Second Avenue Court,
a street outside the boundaries of the Town of La Salle, shall be
maintained on a regular basis , with said road to be included in
the annual road report which is submitted to the State.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Quit Claim Deeds
shall be obtained from the abutting landowners if possible .

and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
April, A.D. , 1988 .

Dear Commissioners:
The purpose of this letter is to bring attention to a continual street
problem we have with an area adjacent to the Town of LaSalle . More
specifically, the street in question is 2nd Avenue Court, which is
without a doubt outside of the Town' s boundaries. Residents along
this particular "road" have requested general repair and maintenance
of 2nd Avenue Court . The Town of LaSalle would appreciate the County
addressing the issue of maintaining this particular street, and re-
spond accordingly to the wishes of these taxpaying citizens .
Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated . If you have any
questions, or require additional information, please do not hesitate
to contact me .
