Dear Mr. Atuna :
Please refer to the enclosed Bid Request No . 023-85 requesting
bids for gas and oil leases on certain Weld County, Colorado tracts .
Tract No . 27 covering the captioned lands is presently subject to
the Oil and Gas Lease issued by Weld County on July 29 , 1981 to
Baker Oil Corp. (copy enclosed ) . The primary term of this lease
would have expired on July 29 , 1984, however, the term of said
lease has been extended by the drilling and completion of the
Barrett Energy Company operated Wiedeman #1 well in the W/2NE/4
Section 28 : T5N, R66W. This well was spudded on July 17 , 1984
and completed on September 14, 1984. A copy of the completion report
filed with the State of Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission
and a copy of the Affidavit of Production filed in the Weld County
records are enclosed for your records . This well was recently hooked
up to the Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line system and is presently waiting
on their clearance to begin production.
Please amend your records to insure that the captioned lands
are deleted from the list of tracts available for lease by sealed
bid . If you need additional information regarding the Wiedeman #1
well please let me know. Thank you for giving your attention to
this matter .

John F. Keller, being duly sworn deposes and says that he is Executive
Vice—President of Barrett Energy Company, which company is authorized to do
business in the State of Colorado.
That said company is the owner of an interest in the following described
Oil and Gas Lease insofar as it covers the land hereinafter described,
located in Weld County, Colorado, to wit:
Date: July 29 , 1981
Lessor: Weld County, Colorado
Lessee: Baker Oil Corp.
Description: Township 5 North, Range 66 West ,
Section 28 : NE3 and part of the SW3
(a strip of land 30 ' in width off the
entire South Side of the SW4) .
Recording Data: October 20, 1981 - Book #950,
Reception # 1872284
That said Lease was for a term of three years, and so long thereafter
as oil and gas is or can be produced from said lands.
Production of oil and/or gas was obtained from a well drilled and
completed on the above lands during the definite term of said Lease which
production is reasonably expected to continue for an indefinite period in the
future from and after this date, and after the definite term of said Lease.
Said Lease is valid and subsisting and has and will continue in full force
and effect after the definite term therof, as extended, as to all of the
lands covered by said Lease, as provided by the terms and provisions of
said Lease and any amendments thereto.
That this Affidavit is made pursuant to and to secure the benefits of
the provisions of Section 38-42-106, Revised Statutes of Colorado, as
amended in 1973.
