RE: RATIFY PETITION TO VACATE HOSPITAL ROAD BETWEEN 15TH AND 16TH
STREETS, GREELEY, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, is the fee owner of the real property adjacent to
Hospital Road on both the east and west in the city of Greeley
between 15th and 16th Streets, and
WHEREAS, the real property adjacent to the right-of-way on
the west is to be used for the benefit of the Board of Trustees of
the North Colorado Medical Center for the operation of a county
hospital, and
WHEREAS, the portion adjacent to the east edge of the
right-of-way and near 15th Street is being used for the Weld
County Ambulance Service, a department of Weld County directly
under the supervision of the Weld County Board of County
Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the remaining portion of the real property adjacent
to the right-of-way for Hospital Road on the east is being leased
to the Board of Trustees of the North Colorado Medical Center, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of County Commissioners finds
and determines that the proposed vacation of Hospital Road is in
the best interests of the citizens of Weld County and will provide
for improved parking facilities which will benefit visitors to and
staff of the North Colorado Medical Center and the Weld County
Health Department and will not interfere with the provision of
services from the Weld County Ambulance Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Weld County Board of
County Commissioners hereby ratifies the petition for vacating
public right-of-way dated September 6 , 1988 , for the vacation of
Hospital Road lying between 15th and 16th Streets in the City of
Greeley, Colorado.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign any addendum or modification of the
petition which may be required by the City of Greeley.

and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of

PETITION FOR VACATING PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
TO: The Honorable Mayor and Councilmen
and the Greeley Planning •Commission
We, the undersigned owners of the adjacent property involved
in this petition respectfully request the following public
rights-of-way to be vacated. The fee of $1OO. OO as required
by City Ordinance is attached.
