RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP" SIGNS ON ASPEN AVENUE AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW STREET IN CARMACAR
SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineering Department has
recommended to the Board that "Stop" signs be installed on Aspen
Avenue at its intersection with Mountain View Street in Carmacar
Subdivision, to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices
are necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Engineering
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install "Stop" signs on
Aspen Avenue at its intersection with Mountain View Street, for
the safety of the general public, and that said signs must conform
to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 9th day of
October, A.D. , 1989 .

We the residents of Carmacar Subdivzsioa in Southwest Weld --
County, are petitioning the County Commissioners to please
consider placing a slow sign at the entrance off of road
5, on Mountain View Street , and a four way to,,Pp sign on the
next .block, where Mountain View crosses bont5te'ecaelc'There
is excessive use of speed on Mountain View and it is very
hazardous for our young children, not to mention the almost
unbearable dust caused by such driving .
