RE: GRANT REQUEST OF DUANE GRAHAM TO PRE-ADVERTISE USE BY SPECIAL
REVIEW
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Duane Graham has submitted a letter to the Board
requesting that an application for a Use by Special Review be
pre-advertised, and
WHEREAS, a copy of said letter of request is attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it appropriate to
grant said request to pre-advertise this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Duane
Graham to pre-advertise his application for a Use by Special
Review be, and hereby is , granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 21st day of
May, A.D. , 1986 .

To The Clerk to the Board :
I am hereby requesting nreadvertisement for the land-use
application for 17617 Highway 52 , Ft . Lupton , Colorado .
We have hired a counle to live on our place to help train
and break our yearling and two-year old thoroughbreds . We
told them that we would move the trailer on our property
near the first of July , 1936 and that they could move in by
the 10tH of July , 1936 . We have horses entered in a sale at
Adams County Fairgroungs in August which we need to be sales
nrenping through July and into August also.
When I originally talked with the Department of Planning
Services , I understood that it would take about 45 days for
anproval from the time that I turned in my application and
package to them. However, unless we nreadvertise , it will
not be completed by the first of July , because they are set
to meet with us on June 17 , 1936 .
We ask your help and cooperation in helping us with this as
much as you possibly can .

On June 20 , 1986 , it was discovered that the hearing notice
concerning the application of Donald D. and Janeta K. Graham for a
Use by Special Review described the request as being for a "horse
training and boarding center" while the application was actually
for a "horse training and breeding center. " Tom David, Weld
County Attorney, was consulted and said that, there having been no
opposition voiced at the Planning Commission, we could continue
with the hearing.
On June 23 , 1986, a representative of the Johnstown Breeze
informed us that, due to an error on their part, the legal notice
was not printed on June 19 , the publication date necessary for the
required ten-day notice. They were requested to publish the
notice, still showing the hearing date as July 2, 1986 , in their
June 26 issue, with the correction in the description of the
application.
