RE: APPROVE ADJUSTMENT OF MILL LEVY FOR TOWN OF KEENESBURG
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Keenesburg, on November 14 , 1988 ,
certified its tax levy to the Weld County Assessor in the amount
of 22 .563 mills, and
WHEREAS, the maximum tax levy authorized pursuant to Section
29-1-301 , C.R.S. , and based upon a notice received from the
Department of Local Affairs, would be 21 .639 mills for general
operating expense, including any funds for tax credits and refunds
and abatements, but not including the previously approved mill
levy for General Obligation Bonds and Interest of 7 . 293 mills,
resulting in a total mill levy of 28 . 932 mills, and
WHEREAS , the Board is obligated by law to reduce the mill
levy of the Town of Keenesburg as hereinabove stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the mill levy for the
Town of Keenesburg be, and hereby is, adjusted to the maximum
allowable of 21 . 369 mills for general operating expense and 7 . 293
mills for General Obligation Bonds and Interest, resulting in a
total mill levy of 28 .932 mills.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
December, A.D. , 1988 .
