RE: APPROVE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AND STANLEY
STRUCTURES, INC. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , certain County buildings have suffered structural
deterioration due to unanticipated technical difficulties with
cement and aggregates making up the double tee wall panels in said
buildings, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with three Agreements
between Weld County and Stanley Structures , Inc. for the Weld
County Shop Addition; the Weld County Shop Building #2 ; and the
Weld County Voting Machine Storage, and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions are as stated in the
Agreements , copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference , and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Agreements
between Weld County and Stanley Structures , Inc. for structural
repair of the above mentioned buildings be, and hereby are ,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be , and
hereby is , authorized to sign said Agreements.

AGREEMENT
OWNER is the owner of a building known as Weld County Shop
Addition, also known as Stanley Structures' Job No. 6534. Building
is located at 1500 2nd Street, Greeley, in the County of Weld and
State of Colorado. Portions of this builing were produced by STANLEY
STRUCTURES, INC. , in 1974 .
OWNER and STANLEY STRUCTURES recognize that this building is now
suffering, or may in the future suffer deterioration due to
unanticipated technical difficulties with the cement and aggregates
making up the double tee wall panels of said building.
In order to repair current problems or prevent future ones,
OWNER and STANLEY STRUCTURES agree as follows:
1 . Stanley will repair any current problems with the double tee
wall panels due to such technical difficulties, or take measures,
such as waterproofing, which Stanley believes will prevent future
occurrence of such technical difficulties. The repair work will be
in accord with the repair procedure outlined in Attachment A, Alkali
Reactivity - Wyoming, dated April 23 , 1985.
2. Since the building is presently unpainted, Stanley will use
the silane sealer identified in Attachment A so that painting will

not be required. If the Owner, in the future, wishes to paint his
structures, he agrees to use a "breathing" acrylic paint.
3 . Nothing in this Agreement, nor in the acts of repairing
and/or preserving the structures herein shall be construed as an
admission of liability or alter the present legal positions of
Stanley, its suppliers or the Owner.
4. Stanley agrees to perform the work under this Agreement in a
workmanlike fashion. Stanley shall carry comprehensive general
liability insurance, including completed operations, broad form
property damage, and contractual liability, in the amount of
$1,000,000 combined single limit bodily injury and property damage.
Stanley shall also provide worker's compensation insurance coverage
for its agents and employees according to statutory limits required
by the State of Wyoming.
