BUILDING SAFETY WEEK
April 9 — 15, 1989
WHEREAS, local governments have a responsibility to adopt legislation
and administer laws and ordinances to protect the health, safety and welfare
of their citizens; and
WHEREAS, it has been a fundamental part of the democratic principals of
this County to involve all interested and affected parties from both the
public and private sectors in the formulation, adoption and to the fullest
extent possible, in the administration of such laws and ordinances, and
WHEREAS, to assure safety, the County of Weld has adopted a Building
Code Ordinance to ensure minimum uniform construction standards and
practices; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners realizes that Weld
County's Building Safety Program can be successful only through the
participation of concerned individuals.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN, that the Board of County Commissioners
does hereby proclaim April 9 - 15, 1989 as Building Safety Week and does ,
hereby call upon all Weld County citizens to join with the Board in
observing and using this week to visit the County Building Inspection
Department and to better familiarize themselves with the important safety
information and services it provides.
