RE: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AND THE TOWN
OF AULT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County and the Town of Ault have entered
into an agreement establishing the maintenance on various
roads lying within the boundaries of the County of Weld and
the Town of Ault, and
WHEREAS, an agreement between Weld County and the Town
of Ault has been prepared abrogating all arrangements, under-
standings, and agreement as set forth in the following:
Maintenance Work to Third Avenue: Weld County will
haul, dump and spread 2 inches of crushed rock on the
two block stretch south of Colorado 14. The town will
reimburse the County for the gravel spread on the
town' s half of this street. This is estimated to run
approximately 150 tons @$2. 50/ton or approximately
$375. 00 for the town' s share. This process will be
repeated again this fall prior to the winter.
Reimbursement For Grading of All Streets: Weld County
will make available the use of a motorgrader for the
town on Saturdays. The town will reimburse the County
operator directly and will reimburse the County for
the motorgrader on an hourly rental basis. The present
hourly rental is $21. 70/hour.
Gravelling A and B Streets: At the same time that the
gravelling of Third Avenue is undertaken, the County
will haul approximately 1 inch of gravel on both A and
B Streets for one block. This is estimated to take
80 tons @$2. 50/ton for a total of $200. 00. In addition,
the County will spread the gravel and the town will
reimburse the County for the hourly cost of grader and
operator. This should not take more than an hour or so.
Use of County Compound on Fourth Street: The County will
permit the town to utilize the fenced-in compound on the
south side of Fourth Street, as well as two bays in the
County storage building. In return for the use of this
space, the town will keep the weeds cut within the
compound. The Town of Ault will also be furnished with
a key to the gate and the building. The Town of Ault
is request to ensure that the spaces are properly

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners feels it is
in the best interest of Weld County to adopt said agreement as
set forth in this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County

Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the agreement
between Weld County and the Town of Ault, as set forth in
this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th
day of June, A.D. , 1981.

Dear Mr. Carlson:
On behalf of the Ault Town Baord I accept the terms of the agreement between the
County and the Town of Ault regarding maintenance work on Third Avenue, gravelling on
on A and B Streets, use of the county compound on Fourth Street and reimbursement for
grading of all streets as outlined in your letter of June 10, 1981. I appreciate
the cooperation the County has shown in assisting the Town in these areas.

Dear Craig:
This will confirm the agreements made at the meeting between yourself,
Mayor Loewen, the Weld County Engineer, and myself on June 9, 1981.
Maintenance Work to Third Avenue : Weld County will haul , dump, and
