RE: Industrial Revenue Bond application for a project located
at 8th Avenue and 8th Street in Downtown Greeley
Dear Weld County Commissioners and Mr. Donald Warden:
At a recent Downtown Development Corporation meeting the IDRB package
and concept for the 8th Avenue and 8th Street building in Downtown Greeley
was considered by the Corporation Directors. It was the general consensus
that every attempt by the Corporation needed to be made, to assure that
the project became a reality.
The Gateway Partnership which was recently formed to accomplish the
acquisition, development, renovation and reconstruction of the 8th Avenue
and 8th Street property is composed of several Greeley Citizens who are
committed to seeing that Downtown Greeley revitalization is successful.
Based on our understanding of the long range future of Downtown, Private
Development and Investment is required, along with an increase in the
existing employment base. The project which you will be considering on
April 25th accomplishes two very important objectives; private investment,
and maintenance and increase of our existing employment base.
We will be encouraging support of the IDRB application, and approval of
the Inducement Resolution at both the City Council and County Commissioners
meetings during the month of April.

support of Downtown Revitalization effort.
