Dear Mr. Mayor and City Council Members :
The Board of County Commissioners met with several
residents of Westridge Subdivision this week and discussed
the proposed annexation plan. The meeting was arranged at
the request of the residents and discussion centered around
several of their concerns about the annexation. The Board
would like to pass along to you some of the comments which
were made at the meeting.
The major issue raised was the residents ' fear that
they would be required to install curb and gutter. With
some of the larger lots this could cost several thousand

improvements be made as feasible for the property owner as
possible. The Commissioners would also request that the
City consider the need for areas such as Westridge Subdivision
to remain as small tracts with a limited number of livestock
allowed to be kept on the acreage .

In annexations we feel that the City should annex the
complete street or road right-of-way or not annex the street
or road at all on the fringes of the annexation. Our preference
would be that the street or road be included in its entirety.
Annexations to the center of a street are problems for everyone.
