RE: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY AND
THE HIGH PLAINS REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, an agreement between the Weld County Library and
the High Plains Regional Library System has been presented to
the Board of County Commissioners for approval, and
WHEREAS, said agreement concerns the providing of services
of the Weld County Library as System Area Resource Center for
the High Plains Region, as more fully set forth in the agreement,
and
WHEREAS, the term of said agreement shall be from October
1, 1980 through September 30, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has studied said contract and deems it advisable to
approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the agreement between
the Weld County Library and the High Plains Regional Library
System be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 13th day of
October, A.D. , 1980 .

- AGREEMENT -
System Area Resource Center
High Plains Regional Library System
This is an agreement between the Governing Board of the High Plains Regional
Library System, hereinafter the Board, and the Weld County Library, herein-
after the Contractor, to provide for the services of the latter as System
Area Resource Center for the High Plains Region.
The Contractor Agrees:
(1) To make its book collection available to System member libraries via
interlibrary loan pursuant to Program I (Interlibrary Cooperation) of
the Annual Program, Fiscal Year 1981 of the High Plains Regional
Library System.
(2) To provide for employment of staff, work space, purchase of supplies,
and other activities necessary for implementation of said Program I.
(3) To assist the Board and System staff in evaluating the program, by
keeping appropriate records and amking appropriate reports.
(4) To act as custodian for funds awarded under this agreement, to kee
them in a certified public depository, to provide for the expenditure
of those funds for purposes appropriate to the implementation of said
Program I, and to maintain auditable financial records.
(5) To inform the Director of the High Plains Regional Library System, no
later than August 31, 1981, of any funds paid under this contract
which will not be expended or encumbered as of September 30, 1981, and
to return to the Board any such funds prior to September 30, 1981.
The Board Agrees:
(1) To pay to the Contractor the sum of $30,794 to be expended pursuant
to said Program I; payments to be made according to the following
schedule:
$9,794 on or before October 31, 1980
$7,000 on or before April 30, 1981
$7,000 on or before July 31, 1981
$7,000 on or before September 30, 1981
(2) To provide personnel to assist the contractor in publicizing and
evaluating said Program I.
General Terms:
(1) This agreement shall become effective October 1, 1980, and continue
in effect through September 30, 1981. Amendments may be made at any
time upon mutual agreement of the t parties.
