The purpose of this worksession was to discuss Charter
amendments as proposed by the council , specifically
that of performance auditor/authority of County Council .
The following conclusions were drawn at this worksession:
1 . It is preferable that the questions of audit authority
of the council be settled by agreement between the
council and commissioners rather than by either an
election or court decision.
2. In view of the fact that the council 's attorney and
the commissioners' attorney have opposite viewpoints
on the quetsion, it was agreed that the two get together
and jointly work out a presentation to be given at
another worksession.
3. Another worksession will be scheduled for February 16,
1984, for continuance of the discussion. The worksession
will be held at 1 :45 p.m. in room 339.
