RE: APPROVE RENEWAL RIDER WITH UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
COVERING RIGHT OF WAY AT DACONO, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado:, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
has been presented with a Renewal Rider to C.D. No. 22705 between
Union Pacific Railroad Company and Weld County covering the con-
struction, maintenance and operation of a 1-inch water pipe line
and hydrant on the right of way and under the tracks of the Rail-
road Company at Dacono, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, said Renewal Rider is identified as C.D. No. 22705-H,
and is to be effective until August 31 , 1994 , and
WHEREAS, further terms are as stated in the Renewal Rider,
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advis-
able to approve said Renewal Rider between Weld County and Union
Pacific Railroad Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that said Renewal Rider be-
tween Weld County, Colorado and Union Pacific Railroad Company
be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be,
and hereby is, authorized to sign said Renewal Rider.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of
March, A.D. , 1984 .

Dear Mr . Carroll:
Re: Proposed Rider Renewing an Agreement Covering a
Water Pipe Line at Dacono, Colorado.
In connection with your letter to Mr. Peters of
this office dated February 23, 1984, enclosed is a revised
renewal rider . The enclosed rider renews the agreement un-
til August 31, 19$4, and eliminates any charges to be paid
by Weld County, Colorado.
When executed, both counterparts of this agreement
should be returned to this office for our further handling
concerning execution by Union Pacific. Thereafter , your
fully executed counterpart will be returned to you.
The counterpart originals that were sent to you by
letter dated January 18, 1984, should be discarded.

Dear Mr. Dutt,ours
The County of Weld doss not own the property in Dacono
but leases the property from the Union Pacific Railroad Company
as will as the tap for the water line.
Since we are desirous of having water available for our
K,:ij shop if there is anything further required of the county in
regard to obtaining water please let us know. We are enclosing
j a copy of the plated lease dated August 27. 1937.

Dear Sir*;
Recently the Town Board circulated a petition within
the city limits to see if the residents were interested in
obtaining domestic water.
Since most of the people were in favor of obtaining
water and petitions have been signed to petition the court
for inclusion within the boundaries of the Northern Colorado
Water Conservancy District, and since the Town Of Dacono Aas__.

atterney,—Orrel k hie of Brighton, Colorado , stated it
would be necessary for all property owners adjacent to the
Town Of Dacono, of which the Town has furnidhed water, to
fill in the attached petition, petitioning the Towa to
continue water service. ,.
Each property owner involved should fill in the form
with the data indicated; sign the petition with names and
initials as shown on the property deeds ; and have all sign-
atures notarized. If property description are by lot and
block number, please attach a plat of the subdivision to the
petition when you return it.
If you should have another source of getting water, and
you do not wish to petition the Town Of Dacono for water,
please let us know at your earliest convenience, as the Towns
petitions are at .the-attorney's office and he is waiting for
those who are outside the city limits to combine them.
