RESOLUTION
RE: DONATION FOR REFURBISHING SMALL STATUTE OF LIBERTY.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mark R. Bradley has offered to donate THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($300) to Weld County for the purpose of refurbishing the small statute of
liberty located on the northeast corner of the courthouse property, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County to formally accept donations offered the County via a resolution, and
WHEREAS, the above small statute of liberty is in need of refurbishing
and repair, and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Building and Grounds has informed the Board
the refurbishing will utilize the entire donated amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that
the Board accepts Mr. Bradley's THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR ($300) donation for the
specific purpose of refurbishing the above small statute of liberty.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that they direct
a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Bradley on behalf of the Board and
citizens of Weld County for his donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the dona-
tion be deposited in the General Fund and appropriated in the Building and Grounds
budget for the specific purpose of refurbishing the small statute of liberty lo-
cated on the northeast corner of the courthouse property.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 13th day of July, A.D. , 1981.

Dear Mark:
The Board of County Commissioners would like to express its
sincere appreciation for your generous contribution toward the
repair of Weld County's miniature Statue of Liberty.
Your constructive interest in your community and patriotism
for your country are commendable. Interested, concerned citizens
such as yourself, are valuable assets to any community.
Your donation will be publicly recognized at the regular
Board Meeting to be held July 13 and a plaque will be drawn in
your name and placed at the site in recognition of your
contribution to your County and community.
The repair work is to begin on the Statue as soon as the
specialist in this field is available - hopefully, sometime in
September.
Once again, thank you. Your generosity will certainly be
appreciated by the citizens of this County for many years to come.

Dear Mr. Bradley:
Thank you for your letter concerning the damage .to the
small Statue of Liberty on the corner of .9th Avenue and
9th Street .
We appreciate your concern and did refer the ,information
to the Buildings and Grounds Department of the County .
We were informed that Mr. Riechardt has been asked to look
into the matter and he will let us know in the near future
whether the statue can be repaired.
The Commissioners thank you for bringing this matter to
their attention.

Thank you very much for responding to my letter concerning the
Statue of Liberty. In this day and age more than any the liberty
that is an ideal that our nation is founded upon and functions
on needs to be protected more than previously. There will come a
time when human beings can be denied their normal real basic rights
in the name of anti-christianity.- Even to the point of being forcefully
relocated without visible means of locomotion by mind control.
This reads pretty nutty, however as an ex drug freak rock and roll
era society victim now gone straight, I can state but not prove that
many types of magic and witchcraft can and hve been used on many
people. Things are not as wonderful as they appear to the ordinary person.
Television is in this type of activity also but it cannot be proven.
It has been and is now to the point where people need reality train-
ing.
I don' t want to come on like a nut, but as a spiritually aware
man it is necessary that I communicate this unbelievable information.
