RESOLUTION
RE: APPOINTMENT OF JOY PURDY AND JOHN COWART TO THE WELD COUNTY
HOUSING AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, two vacancies currently exist on the Weld County
Housing Authority due to the resignations of Pet Wilson and Martin
Schloo, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the following people
be appointed to serve on said Housing Authority:
Appointees Term to Expire
Joy Purdy (to fill September 13 , 1982
unexpired term of
Pete Wilson)
John Cowart (to fill September 13, 1984
unexpired term of
Martin Schloo)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that Joy Purdy and John
Cowart be, and hereby are, appointed to the Weld County Housing
Authority for terms to expire as stated herein.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of
June, A.D. , 1982.

Dear Mr . Martin :
Please be advised that the Weld County Housing Authority
has received a notice of resignation from Alan D . (Pete )
Wilson , effective immediately .
We are also advised that the county commissioners have received
a notice of resignation from Martin Schloo .
This creates two vacancies on the five-member housing authority
board . Because of the increased potential for not having a
quorum, we would like to request that your consideration be given
to the appointment of two people to fill these unexpired terms
on the board .
I have been asked to remind the commissioners that the board
at present has no minority representation .

Dear John,
Due to the fact that my wife and I are moving to Fort
Collins, in La.rimer County, I hereby submit my res-
ignation as a member of the Weld County Housing Auth-
ority Board.
It has been a pleasure to serve as a member of the Board
and to have participated in the effort toward a more
stable, practical and cooperative approach to the hous-
ing needs of Weld County.
