Re: St.Vrain Open Cut Mine Permit located in part of Section 9, T2N,
R68W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado - SUP-397.
Dear Mr. Haines:
On April 4, 1981, the Weld County Board of County Commissioners received
a letter of complaint from a surrounding property owner with regard to
Western Pavings' gravel mining operations at the Saint Vrain site. I
have enclosed a copy of the letter so that you may more adequately address
the problems identified. I have checked the Operation Standards for the
special use permit and at this time Saint Vrain is not in violation of
the standards with regard to fencing. However, we would like to know
if you are willing to work with the property owner with regard to the
fencing and drainage problems and what measures you would propose to
alleviate those problems.
If you are no longer representing Saint Vrain, please let me know to whom
I may direct these questions.
If you have any questions with regard to this matter, feel free to call
me.
