RE: EMERGENCY DUTY COVERAGE OF WELD COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to estab-
lish standard procedures for Weld County Social Services Depart-
ment ' s emergency duty coverage, and
WHEREAS, after exploring various proposals, the Board deems
it advisable to establish the following policy:
A. Weekday emergency duty coverage will be provided by case-
worker staff after normal working hours (5 :00 p.m. -
8 : 00 a.m. ) Monday through Friday. Compensatory time
will be given on a one-for-one basis for time spent on
actual field visits during emergency duty hours.
B. Weekend emergency duty (Friday, 5 :00 p.m. - Monday,
8 : 00 a.m. ) will be covered through two half-time con-
tract personnel. Payment will not exceed $170 . 00 per
weekend for 1982, to be adjusted according to prevail-
ing rates annually during salary rate setting process.
C. Case worker staff are expected to provide for weekend
emergency duty coverage for assigned cases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the policy for emergency
duty coverage of Weld County Social Services Department, as above
written, be, and hereby is , adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that any prior under-
standing or commitments regarding emergency duty coverage for
Social Services be, and hereby are, rescinded.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 4th day of
