HomeMy WebLinkAbout800541.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO SIGN LETTER TO THE FORT LUPTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT CONCERNING DISPOSAL OF RESIDENCE ON KOENIG FARM WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a certain residence located on property known as the Koenig Farm has been declared to be surplus property, and WHEREAS, said residence was advertised for sale by bid, however, no bids were received, and WHEREAS, the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District has indi- cated an interest in using the building for fire protection practice, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to authorize the Chairman to sign a letter to said Fire Protec- tion District concerning disposal of the residence. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to sign a letter to the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District concerning disposal of the residence located on property known as the Koenig Farm. The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6th day of August, A.D. , 1980 . It was felt by the Board that the abandoned residence could pose a potential danger because of its condition. The residence was advertised for sale by bid, but we received no bids. We understand that you are interested in using the building for fire protection practice. The Board of County Commissioners has authorized you to burn the building and use it for fire protection practice. Before doing so, please check to make sure that all utilities are disconnected and adequate safety precautions are taken.
