Dear Pete:
The Board of County Commissioners has been advised by Wendell Fuller of
his discussions with you concerning building permits and other fees
related to the Weld County General Hospital construction project. It is
our understanding that the City of Greeley may be willing to consider a
waiver of all or a portion of the Hospital project fees if Weld County
would credit an equal amount against future fees incurred by the City
through the County Department of Planning Services.
Weld County would be willing to enter into such an agreement with the
City in recognition of the impact of the potential $50,000 in fees on
Hospital rates in the future. If the above-stated concept is substantially
that which you discussed with Wendell Fuller and is acceptable to the
City Council, the Board would ask that you contact Don Warden, Director
of Finance and Administration, to arrange a meeting between affected
City, County and Hospital staff to formalize the administrative details
required in such an agreement.
We appreciate your consideration and efforts in this matter. Please do
not hesitate to contact our office if you should have any questions
concerning the proposed agreement or the arrangements stated herein. `
