RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO OFFER AMERICAN
STANDARD OIL COMPANY THE SUM OF $450.00 FOR PROPERTY
NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF WELD COUNTY
ROAD 29.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, American Standard Oil Company is the owner of the
following described property located in Weld County, Colorado:
The South 660.00 feet of the East Half
Southeast Quarter of Section 32, /Town-
ship 1 North, Range 66 West of the 6th
P.M., County of Weld, State of Colorado;
except the South 30.0 feet thereof, for
county road right-of-way; and except
the East 30.0 feet thereof for access
easement.
WHEREAS, the East 30.0 feet as stated in said legal descrip-
tion above is needed for the construction and maintenance of Weld
County Road 29 between Weld County Roads 2 and 22, and
WHEREAS, American Standard Oil Company has refused to sell
said East 30.0 feet to Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has obtained an appraisal on the East
30.0 feet of said property from Robert Mitchell and Associates
and said appraisal values the property under consideration at
$450.00, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advi-
sable and in the best interests of Weld County to authorize the
Weld County Attorney to offer American Standard Oil Company the
sum of $450.00 for said property, and in the event American
Standard Oil Company refuses said offer, the Weld County Attorney
shall be authorized to continue legal action for condemnation
of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Weld County Attorney
be, and hereby is, authorized to offer American Standard Oil
Company the sum of $450.00 for the East 30.0 feet of -the above

described property concerning the construction and maintenance
of Weld County Road 29, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that in the event Ameri-
can Standard Oil Company refuses said offer, the Weld County Attor-
ney be, and hereby is, authorized to continue legal action for
condemnation of said property.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
August, A.D., 1980.
