RE : INSTALLATION OF "STOP" AND "STOP AHEAD" SIGNS ON WELD
COUNTY ROAD 62 AT THE INTERSECTION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD
59
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
has recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado that "stop" and "stop ahead" traffic devices
be installed on Weld County Road 62 at the intersection of
Weld County Road 59 to insure safety to the traveling public ,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied
_ the recommendations of the Department of Engineering Services
and has determined that said signs are necessary for the
protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Department of
Engineering is directed to install "stop" and "stop ahead"
signs on Weld County Road 62 at the intersection of Weld
County Road 59 for the safety of the general public, and that
said signs must conform to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th
day of March, A.D. , 1982 .

S bject: Traffic Control of Intersection of WCR 62 and WCR 59.
Due to the poor visabilities of a high bank on the southeast
corner of the intersection and by a building of a house on the
southwest corner of the same intersection, it is my recommenda-
tion that stop signs , preceded by stop ahead signs , be installed
to control the traffic flow on Weld County Road 62 , therefore,
making Weld County Road 59 a through road to comply with other
traffic control devices in that area.
