Box 758 Greeley, Colorado 80632 Dear Commissioners : As you may recall, we represent certain landowners effected by the Ault-Wheatland Electric Transmission line being constructed by Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. As part of the settlement of the condemnation case which as been commenced, certain landowners have agreed that the line may be located approximately one-half mile east of the location of the line as originally intended. These landowners, listed below, have no objection to the relocation of the line, as per the stipulation in Court, commencing at Section 34 , Township 10 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M. and proceeding southerly through the approximate center lines of Section 3, 10 , 15, 22 , and 27 of Township 9 North. The landowners whom we represent and who have ownership of the such involved properties are as follows : H. Glenn and Sonja Kay Hutchison (Section 3) Jerry and Jean Rouse (Sections 10 and 15) First National Bank, Fort Collins, Colorado, Trustee (North 1/2 of Section 22) Barnes Farms, Inc. (South 1/2 Northwest 1/4 and Southwest 1/4 , Section 22) M. H. Harden and A. Evelyn Harden (Section 27) Yours very truly, / 7 4ryc\QN.` fit Garth W. Box 758 Greeley, CO 80631 Re: Location of Right-of-Way along approved Laramie River-Ault 345 kV Transmission Line Dear Mr. Kirby: In response to your letter of January 28, 1980, we have very care- fully examined our routing of the Laramie River-Ault Transmission Line near the town of Carr. As you may recall in your letter, mem- bers of the Wheatland-Ault Landowners Association presented a proposal to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the poten- tial location of lines adjacent to Carr. At this time it was indicated by the Landowner group that Tri-State was considering routing the Ault line on the East side of County Road 19 near Carr. In your letter you indicated that the Board supports the request of the area landowners to locate the easements along the West side of County Road 19, specifically, through Sections 21 , 28 and 33, in Township 11 North, Range 67 West. We appreciate this type of input, and in fact, have decided to re- route the line on the West side of County Road 19 in this area for the following reasons: 1 . The proposed Rawhide Power Plant may create substantial de- mand for an existing subdivision located in Section 27, Township 11 North, Range 67 West. 2. The landowners of the aforementioned subdivision may have purchased the property specifically for residential develop- ment. 3. It is possible that no other subdivision plats in this area could be obtained from Weld County until the aforementioned subdivision has been developed. 4. The landowners effected by the re-route apparently did not object to the line being on their lands. AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER" C.W.
