Box 758 Greeley, Colorado 80631 Ladies and Gentlemen : I have several comments on your letter of March 19. First, as you are aware by now, SB 122 was defeated in the House on March 19. I supported its passage, but the will of the majority leaned the other direction. In the committee hearings on Senate Bill 71 . Many people spoke of the need to adequately fund Social Service agencies to deal with increased case load. The appropriations committee heeded their advice and has included what I believe to be an appropriate sum in the Long Bill . Senate Bill 38 has several problems, two of which you mention in your letter. Also, I am afraid that passage of this bill in its current form would neces- sitate a re-allocation of funds from nursing homes that would be detrimental to the total range of care for the elderly. For these reasons I did not support the bill in the House HEWI committee and will vote against it if it comes to the floor. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate your letters informing me of your positions on pending legislation. Sincerely, 77**eleZrni-e-j-1" • William F. Hilsmeier ..abe6% 741‘, t tir„ " N.WFH:rf ` QQ tPF • 800810 yo/co Hello
