RE: GRANT REQUEST OF GREELEY INDEPENDENCE STAMPEDE COMMITTEE FOR
USE OF THE BUILDINGS AT ISLAND GROVE PARK AND WAIVER OF FEES
OF THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee has
requested the use of the buildings at Island Grove Park for the
Greeley Independence Stampede to be held from June 27 through
July 5, 1980, and
WHEREAS, the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee has
also requested that the fees for the use of the buildings be
waived, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to grant
the request of the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee for
use of the buildings at Island Grove Park and to waive the fees
for the same on the following conditions :
1. That said Committee supplies adequate janitorial
staff for clean-up of the buildings.
2. That the dumpsters by dumped on a daily basis .
3 . That the standard agreement for use of the buildings
be signed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of the Greeley
Independence Stampede Committee for use of the buildings at
Island Grove Park from June 27 to July 5, 1980 for the Greeley
Independence Stampede be, and hereby is, granted and further that
the fees for the use of the buildings be waived provided that the

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
April, A.D. , 1980.

Dear County Commissioners:
I am writing concerning the usage of the buildings
at Island Grove Park by the Rodeo Committee during the
week of June 28th thru July 4th.
I would suggest that you require a list of activities
at all buildings be made available to Rene' Naert at the
Exhibition Building. To furnish one janitor at each building
on days and nights when activities are scheduled to assist
with clean up and set up. To make arrangements for daily
trash pick up while using our dumpsters during this week.
The County people assigned to the building cannot
and should not be expected to do the cleanup after each
of the events.
In 1979 they held picnics - queen receptions - press
meetings - dances and used the 4-H Building kitchen for the
B-B-Q.
I feel if they are using the building at no cost or
reduced costs that they could at least furnish extra janitors.
