GENTLEMEN:—We, the undersigned, Citizens of your County, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County wagon road to be laid out as follows, to wit: Commencing at The southeast quarter corner of section 19 , and Southwest quarter corner of' Section 20; thence running south one-half mile between the Northwest quarter of Section 29 and the North- east quarter of Section 30 , Township 5 North, xange 63 West , of the 6th P. Petition shall set forth an accurate description and map or • plat of the road sought,with points where It shall commence and terminate. (Show section,township and range. The usual county road is sixty feet in width,and follows government lines.) 2. Petition should be signed by all legal owners of land touching line of road prayed for, in order to clear title. The county must be secured in title to right of way before the road is granted. 3. Petition must be filed with the County Clerk,together with a deposit of$15.00 to pay expense of viewing the road. This deposit will be refunded if the road is granted and retained if the road is not granted. IMPORTANT. In order to secure prompt action, petitioners must comply with all above details. After the petition is considered by the Commissioners, Viewers are --.appointed to_inyestigate the road petitioned for and report.recommends- ' tions concerning the same, including practicability of-route or possible - changes therein,with probable cost of opening and improvement,damages, if any, for lands necessarily condemned. Notices of the time when Viewers will investigate will be posted along the line of proposed road so that the public may have opportunity to advise with them. Final action,granting or refusing the request of petitioners for a public road,is discretionary with the Board of County Commissioners at a regular meeting after receiving the Road Viewers'report. The general county road fund is a tax on all property in the county for use in any part of the county where needed. No particular section is en- titled to greater consideration than another.
