IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 88 AND 88-B CONCERNING

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY COLORADO:

WHEREAS, on the 13th day of July, 1981, the Board of County Commissioners

3 of Weld County, Colorado, adopted Ordinance No. 88, Regulating the Running
o w At-Large of Dogs, Providing for Seizure, Impounding and Other Disposition
0 Thereof, and Providing for Fines and Penalties for Violations, and

La a WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to amend Section 4 of

ri x Ordinance No. 88 and 88-B by the addition of a paragraph to read as follows:

'n2 SECTION 4. CHARGES FOR IMPOUNDMENT

`HE E" In addition to the basic impoundment fees, any impounded dog shall
Wnot be released until such animal has been duly vaccinated for
r` D rabies. Upon receipt of an immunization (Rabies) deposit of Fifteen
o W Dollarsmay o k ($15.00) , however, such animal be released in order that
O1 it may be immunized. Upon proof that such animal has been duly
rn 2 immunized within ten (10) working days after such release, the

immunization deposit shall be refunded to the animal's owner.

aWHEREAS, the effective date of said amendment will be immediately.
ti NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of

'~`" Weld County, Colorado, that Ordinances No. 88 and 88-B be, and hereby are,

amended as stated herein, effective immediately.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners that an
emergency exists inasmuch as this action impacts the health and safety of the
public and therefore, this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency ordinance
under the provisions of Section 3-14 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 88-C was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of December, A.D. ,
