RE: GRANT REQUEST OF HANK AND MARY SALZMAN FOR USE OF EXHIBITION
BUILDING FOR BENEFIT POLKA-THON FOR NATIONAL JEWISH HOSPITAL
AND REDUCTION OF RENTAL FEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has received a request from Hank and Mary Salzman for
use of the Exhibition Building for a benefit Polka-thon on May
23 , 1982, and have also requested that the rental fee for the
use of the Exhibition Building be reduced, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to grant
the request for use of the Exhibition Building and also desires
to grant the request that the rental fee be reduced from $500. 00
to $250. 00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Hank
and Mary Salzman for the use of the Exhibition Building on May
23, 1982 be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the rental fee for
use of the Exhibition Building be, and hereby is, reduced from
$500. 00 to $250. 00. However, the damage deposit shall be paid in
advance by Hank and Mary Salzman, plus charges for security guards,
janitor and any other expense incurred during the use of said
building.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
April, A.D. , 1982 .

Subject: National Jewish Hospital Benefit Polka-thou
I spoke with Stan Boyes concerning use of the Exhibition Building by the
above mentioned group. In our conversation, Stan noted that one security
guard per each 100 people is required. The guard(s) are normally hired
by the group renting the Building. A janitor is also present and is
usually paid for by the renting party. Rental is charged for chairs,
tables, etc. and a $50 damage deposit is required in advance. If
everything is in order at the conclusion of the event, the damage deposit
is applied to rent.
If the Board concurs that rental to the National Jewish Hospital group
will be $250 plus charges for security guards, janitor, and any other
expense incurred during the use of the Exhibition Building for the Benefit
Polka-thon, I will forward the information to Clerk to the Board for
placement on the agenda for formal approval in early May, 1982.
