WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,

testimony and statements of those present, has studied the request

0 of the applicant and the recommendations of the Weld County Plan-

ning Commission and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in
this matter, and having been fully informed, finds that:
1. The submitted materials are in compliance with the appli-
cation requirements of Section 24. 7 of the Weld County
Zoning Ordinance;
2. It is the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners
that the applicant has shown compliance with Section
24. 4. 2 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance as follows :
a) The proposal is consistent with the Comprehensive
Plan and is consistent with the intent of the Agri-
cultural Zone District in that the use does not con-
stitute an interference with agricultural activities.
The proposed use is a residence. The residence would
be as equally appropriate to the zoning district and
neighborhood as the existing nonconforming use. The
existing nonconforming use is a temporary office and
residence for a legal nonconforming construction
business.
3. No overlay districts affect the site. Operation and
design standards provide adequate protection of the
health, safety and welfare of the neighborhood and the
County.

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated July 26, 1982,
duly published July 29, 1982 in the LaSalle Leader, a public hearing was
held on the request of the Droegemueller Trust for a Use by Special Review
to enlarge and substitute a nonconforming use. The Planning Commission
recommended that this request be granted with standards. Mr. Dave
Droegemueller was present and stated that he would like to enlarge a
building on his property so it may be used for living quarters. There
were no objections to this request. Commissioner N. Carlson made a motion
to grant this request with standards. Commissioner Kirby seconded the
motion and it carried unanimously.

Weld County Planning Commission
I would like to explain my request for an extension of a
nonconforming use to be used for an addition to an existing
building. The building would be used by my parents, who are
retired, as a residence. This building's prior use has been
that of a temporary residence and/or office for a legal. non-
conforming construction business. The use is compatible with •
the weld county land use, as, no productive farm land will be
taken out of production. The building is served by North Weld
County Water and a county approved septic system.
All prior construction has been by permits obtained through
the county. If the extension permit is allowed, the proposed
addition would be approximately 30ft.byl8ft. with a basement.
