The submitted materials are in compliance with the appli- cation requirements of Section 24. 7 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance; 2. It is the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners that the applicant has shown compliance with Section 24. 4. 2 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance as follows : a) The proposal is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and is consistent with the intent of the Agri- cultural Zone District in that the use does not con- stitute an interference with agricultural activities. The proposed use is a residence. The residence would be as equally appropriate to the zoning district and neighborhood as the existing nonconforming use. The existing nonconforming use is a temporary office and residence for a legal nonconforming construction business. 3. No overlay districts affect the site. Operation and design standards provide adequate protection of the health, safety and welfare of the neighborhood and the County. The Planning Commission recommended that this request be granted with standards. Mr. Dave Droegemueller was present and stated that he would like to enlarge a building on his property so it may be used for living quarters. There were no objections to this request. Commissioner N. Carlson made a motion to grant this request with standards. The building would be used by my parents, who are retired, as a residence. This building's prior use has been that of a temporary residence and/or office for a legal. non- conforming construction business. The use is compatible with • the weld county land use, as, no productive farm land will be taken out of production.
