RE: APPROVAL TO CHANGE PARAGRAPH 3. 2 OF THE WELD COUNTY PERSON-
NEL POLICIES MANUAL.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, paragraph 3. 2 of the Weld County Personnel Policies
Manual requires that all salaried employees be paid on the first
working day of each month, and
WHEREAS, this pay period places the payroll system on an
odd quarterly basis , creating problems with various reporting
requirements to Federal and State agencies and the Weld County
Retirement System, and
WHEREAS, in order to resolve said problems, it has been
agreed that effective January, 1981, paragraph 3 . 2 of the Weld
County Personnel Policies Manual will be changed to read as
follows :
Time of Payment - On the last working
day of each month, there is a direct
deposit of employee' s net wages into
a bank of their choice. If an employee
starts work within the last five work
days of the month, his account will
not be credited until the 2nd pay day
following employment. Example : Employee
begins work on March 27th, the first
deposit to his account will be made
on the last working day of April. This
deposit would include net pay for the
rest of March and all of April.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that paragraph 3 . 2 of the
Weld County Personnel Policies Manual be changed to read as
stated above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado that said changes shall become effective
January, 1981.

and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 31st day of
December, 1980.
