Dear Commissioner Martin:
Thank you for sending several qualified representatives of the
County Health Department to present your request before the State
Energy Impact Assistance Advisory Committee at its October meeting
in Cedaredge.
Since the project addresses a substantial impact problem by
establishing a needed local research and monitoring capability,
the Committee recommended funding for the County's request. I
agree with their recommendation and therefore would like to offer
to enter into a grant contract with Weld County for $65,800. I
commend you and your staff for this initiative in response to the
ground water issues.
To initiate contract procedures please contact Jack Kirtland in
our Denver office at 866-2674. Please be aware that no funds are
obligated by the State until a contract is fully executed and that
no expenses incurred prior to that time will be reimbursed.
