RE: REAPPOINTMENT OF KATHLEEN SHAUGHNESSY, ANNETTE LOPEZ AND
ROBERT DRENNAN TO THE WELD COUNTY HEALTH BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, three vacancies currently exist on the Weld County
Health Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the following people
be reappointed to the Health Board for terms to expire May 23 ,
1983:
District 1 Kathleen Shaughnessy
District 2 Annette Lopez
At-Large Robert Drennan
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that Kathleen Shaughnessy,
Annette Lopez and Robert Drennan be, and hereby are, reappointed
to the Weld County Health Board for terms to expire on May 23 ,
1983 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
July, A.D. , 1980.

Subject: Health Board Appointments
The terms of four members of the Board of Health expired on May 23, 1980.
Those terms were:
Appointed
District 1: Kathleen Shaughnessy (Ault) 5/27/77 ✓
District 3: Annette Lopez (W. Greeley) 5/23/77 ✓
District 6: William Blick (Roggen) -- now deceased
At-Large: Robert Drennan, PhD (Greeley) 1/14/80 v,'
The three remaining incumbent members have asked to be considered for
reappointment to a second term on the Health Board, which would expire
May 23, 1983.
Press releases seeking applicants for the District 6 vacancy have failed
to produce any applications, and it is my recommendation that the Board
proceed with reappointment of the other three members. I would also
ask that the Board announce at the time of appointment that a vacancy
exists in District 6, and that any interested citizens in that area
(School Districts Re-8, 27J, 3-J, Re-7, and Re-50J) should contact the
Commissioners Office for an application.
If you have no objections to the reappointments, they will be listed for
your action on the Board meeting Wednesday, July 2, 1980.
