RE: APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO PURCHASE USED CRANE FOR IGA SHOPS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the policies for purchasing, adopted by the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, specifies that
any used equipment can be acquired through resolution by the Board
of County Commissioners, eliminating the necessity of going through
the bidding procedure, and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the Board' s attention that
there is a need for a crane for the IGA Shops, and
WHEREAS, after several different suppliers were contacted,
the Board deems it advisable to purchase a 1967 Northwest crane
from Dallas, Texas costing $35, 000, with repairs to cost approxi-
mately $20 , 000 and shipping price to be $4 , 424 . 86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado hereby authorizes the Purchas-
ing Director and the County Engineer to purchase the used crane
from Dallas, Texas at a total cost of $35, 000 plus repairs and
shipping costs.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
June, A.D. , 1982.
