Home My WebLink About20260736 Resolution Approve Request for Cooperative Purchase of 2026 Chemical Herbicides from Various Vendors Pursuant to Colorado Multiple Assembly of Procurement Officials (MAPO) Bid #2026-007 Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and Whereas, the Board has been presented with a Cooperative Purchase of 2026 Chemical Herbicides Pursuant to Colorado Multiple Assembly of Procurement Officials (MAPO) Bid #2026-007 between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, and various vendors further identified on Exhibit A, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said purchase, and Whereas, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request and Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Cooperative Purchase of 2026 Chemical Herbicides Pursuant to Colorado Multiple Assembly of Procurement Officials (MAPO) Bid #2026-007 between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, and various vendors further identified on Exhibit A, be, and hereby is, approved. Weld County Code Section 5-4-80 and Section 5-4-100 allows Weld County to participate in cooperatives and purchase directly from those sources. The Purchasing Department has verified that Weld County is a member of MAPO and can purchase herbicides from the MAPO bid #2026-007 using the pricing shown in Attachment 1. The Public Works Department recommends making purchases, as needed, from the various vendors from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027 The cumulative purchase will not exceed $73,000 over the life of the bid.
