� ' WHEREAS, Weld County supports fair housing through its CommunityDevelopment Block p

and modernization; and

z WHEREAS, the principle of fair housing has been national law and policy since 1968. Title I
c VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended (Fair Housing Act), prohibits discrimination jle (t:4 '

WHEREAS, Weld County became an entitlement county for CDBG funds in 2020 (meaning '� •
x• = Weld County's population is more than 200,000 people); and .
- WHEREAS, the CDBG program provides an avenue for county projects to support fair
r = housing practices —with the most recent example being Brigit's Village, as 40-unit housing -� \
��?"_ complex in Frederick. ��;
