Subject: Award Recommendation for VMware Maintenance Weld (B2600023)
Bids were received and opened on March 16, 2026 for VMware Maintenance Weld.
Nine bids were received with a five-year total cost ranging from $1,518,993.61 to
$1,674,822.32. Attached is the bid tabulation for your information.
The Information Technology staff reviewed all bids. Trace3 Government, LLC out of
Colorado Springs, CO proposed the lowest cost solution of $1,518,993.61 for 5 years
and meets the requirements documented in the bid process. The proposal has a year 1
cost of $299,208.60 which is included in the 2026 Information Technology budget.
Years 2 through 4 will be budgeted at $299,208.60 per year with year 5 budgeted at
$322,159.21.
Based on the information provided, I recommend awarding the VMware Maintenance
Weld bid to Trace3 Government, LLC for a total amount of $1,518,993.61. This
recommendation is within the Board of County Commissioners' approved budget for this
project.
