Reliable and resilient water infrastructure is essential to the health, safety, and long-term sustainability of communities throughout Weld County. The Historic Firestone neighborhood is served by aging water infrastructure that no longer meets modern standards for reliability, system pressure, and fire protection. Addressing these challenges is an important step in ensuring residents continue to receive safe and dependable water service. The Town of Firestone has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving this system through an ongoing replacement program. Financial support through this grant program would help accelerate these upgrades and allow the Town to continue addressing critical infrastructure needs in the Historic Firestone Neighborhood. The proposed project will modernize aging waterlines, improve system performance, and strengthen service reliability for residents.Investments like this are essential for maintaining the infrastructure that supports healthy communities and responsible growth across Weld County. Weld County appreciates the Town of Firestone's proactive efforts to address these infrastructure needs and strongly supports this funding request.
