Approve Reappointments of Veterans Service Officers and Assistant Veterans
Service Officer
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the obligations, terms, and qualifications of County Veterans Service Officers,
including the appointment for two-year terms, are enumerated in C.R.S. §28-5-801
through 805, and
Whereas, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Tim Marquardt and Tom Gonzales as Weld County Veterans Service Officers, with terms
commencing November 11 , 2025, and ending November 10, 2027, and to reappoint
Gwendolyn Jenkins as a Weld County Assistant Veterans Service Officer, with a term
commencing November 1 , 2025, and ending October 31, 2027.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Tim Marquardt and Tom Gonzales be reappointed as Weld County
Veterans Service Officers, and that Gwendolyn Jenkins be reappointed as a Weld County
Assistant Veterans Service Officer, all with terms as listed above.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 25th day of February, A.D., 2026, nunc pro tunc November 1 , 2025:
