Approve Request for Expenditure Authorization to Purchase Vaccines Provided at
Various Public Health Clinic Locations — Medico-Mart, Inc.
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the Board has been presented with a Request for an Expenditure Authorization
to Purchase Vaccines Provided at Various Public Health Clinic Locations from the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Department of Public Health and Environment, to Medico-Mart,
Inc., being as stated in said request, and
Whereas, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request and
authorize said expenditure, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the Request for an Expenditure Authorization to Purchase Vaccines
Provided at Various Public Health Clinic Locations from the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf
of the Department of Public Health and Environment, to Medico-Mart, Inc., be, and hereby
is, approved and authorized.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 18th day of February, A.D., 2026:

Subject: MedicoMart vaccine purchases
There is a need to purchase vaccines for the Department of Public Health and
Environment.This purchase is exempt from the procurement process Pursuant to County
Code 5-4-80.25:
"Medicine and supplies.The purchase of medicines and supplies
by the Director of the Department of Public Health and Environment
in cases where criteria other than price are considered
paramount, i.e. safety and quality."
In 2025,the department spent$143,445,65 on MedicoMart vaccines for four(4)different
areas:
1) North Greeley Clinic- $80,440.10
2) Ft. Lupton Clinic (SOCO)- $19,592.01
3) Mobile Unit Outreach -$33,006.35
4) Travel Clinic -$10,407.19
We anticipate the costs of vaccines to increase for 2026.Therefore, the recommendation
is to proceed with the purchase of the vaccines from MedicoMart in the amount of
$153,500 for the following areas:
1) North Greeley Clinic - $88,000
2) Ft. Lupton Clinic (SOCO)-$21,500
3) Mobile Unit Outreach- $33,000
4) Travel Clinic -$11,000
