RESOLUTION
RE : APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 66 -
CONTINENTAL PIPELINE COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on January 14, 1981, the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved Conditional
Use Permit No. 66, and
WHEREAS, a six month extension of the permit was granted due to
difficulties encountered in attempts to acquire right-of-way
on the affected property, a condition of the Condition Use
Permit, and
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1982 , the Board of County
Commissioners has been presented with a request to grant an
additional six month extension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request for
an additional six month extension to Conditional Use Permit
No. 66 : 80 : 14 be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 13th
day of January, A.D. , 1982.

RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMI! SIONERS
Moved by Betty Kountz that the following resolution be intro-
duced for passage by the Weld County Planning Commission :
Be it therefore Resolved ay tue Weld County Planning Commission
that the following be adopted by the Board of County Commissioners :
CUP-66:80:14 - Continental Pipeline Company an amendment to CUP-46:79:6 located
on a parcel of land described as part of the NW', Section 20, T2N, R66W of the
6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado be granted an additional six (6) month extension.
(This is the second extension.)
To be recommended favorably to the Board of County Commissioners for
the following reasons :
Continental Pipeline Company feels they have the acquisition problem solved which
should allow for completion of construction.

#3 of CUP 66 : 80 :14
Dear Mr. Honn:
The resolution passed by the Board of County Commissioners on
January 14 , 1981, approving Conditional Use Permit 66 : 80 :14,
specified that Continental Pipe Line Company was to make road
improvements (install a three-centered curve) on the southeast
corner of the intersection of U.S. Highway 85 and Weld County
Road 18-1/2. A six-month extension of the permit was granted
by the Board on July 15, 1981 due to legal difficulties
encountered in our attempts to acquire right-of-way on the
affected property. As the attached letter indicates , the parti-
tion suit over ownership of that property is virtually resolved,
so we are very close to having the right-of-way problem taken
care of.
We have initiated discussions with Union REA about power pole
relocation and have had the location surveyed; however, the
necessary design, engineering review and construction of the
corner cannot be completed prior to the January 15 , 1982
expiration of the extended Conditional Use Permit. Therefore,
Continental Pipe Line Company respectfully requests a second
extension of CUP 66 : 80 :14 in order to comply with Condition #3
of the original permit.
