HomeMy WebLinkAbout810742.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF SPECIFICATIONS FOR REMOVAL OF LOX TANKS LOCATED AT THE MISSILE SITE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on December 10, 1980, the Board of County Commis- sioners of Weld County, Colorado adopted a resolution approving a Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of the Air Force and Weld County, Colorado, which agreement concerned the removal of storage tanks from the Atlas E. Missile Site in Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, specifications for the removal of said tanks have been submitted to the Board of County Commissioners by the Depart- ment of the Air Force, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied said specifications and desires to approve the same with Section 1. 4 being amended to read as follows: "1. 4 SPECIAL FEATURES The missile site at Windsor, Colorado has been converted to a park and the Contractor will be required to provide all utilities to a mobile home on the site. The area that will be dis- turbed has a one-inch water line and an electri- cal service line located in the work area. Also in the area are underground fuel storage tank (s) that will have to be removed. Continuous fuel service to the resident of the mobile home will be supplied without interruption. After back- fill has been completed, the utility service line (s) and fuel tanks shall be returned to their original condition. The removal of chain link fence and some trees and shrubbery may be required to facilitate removal of tank (s) . If removal is required, the material shall be rein- stalled in its original configuration and condi- tion. " NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis- sioners of Weld County, Colorado that the specifications for removal of the LOX tanks submitted by the Department of the Air Froce be, and hereby are, approved with the amendment as stated herein. 810742 r.
