HomeMy WebLinkAbout800596.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF' S OFFICE AND THE FOREST SERVICE AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO SIGN THE SAME. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, an Agreement between the Weld County Sheriff' s Office and the Forest Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture, has been presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval, and WHEREAS, said Agreement concerns the Weld County Sheriff' s Office patroling the recreational areas on the Pawnee National Grassland within the boundaries of Weld County, Colorado from June 1, 1981 to September 30, 1981 , and WHEREAS, the total amount of said Agreement shall not exceed $1, 000. 00, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado deems it advisable to approve said Agreement and to authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Agreement between the Weld County Sheriff' s Office and the Forest Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture, be, and hereby is , approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the Chairman of the Board be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said Agreement. Steinmark OPERATING AND FINANCIAL PLAN Reimbursable Services Requested by the Forest Service ' This plan, made and agreed to commence June 1, 1981 and ending September 30, 1981, by and between the Service and the Weld County Sheriff's Office becomes part of the agreement between said parties dated _ NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed: I. The Weld County Sheriff agrees: To provide certified Deputies and marked vehicles to patrol recreation areas on the`f awnee National Grassland within the boundaries of Weld County from June 1, 1981 to September 30, 1981. A. Weld County Sheriff's Office will patrol the Crow Valley Campground. located. at Briggsdale, Colorado, twice daily; once between 1800 hours and 2000 hours and again between 2200 hours and 2400 hours on Friday and Saturday, and twice during the week on an unscheduled, intermittent basis. The patrol is expected to take one hour each day to complete. II. Patrolling Activities A: Weld County Sheriff's Office will enforce Colorado State Laws within their jurisdiction. • B. Weld County Sheriff's Office will secure any evidence for the Service and will report to the Service any violations with the jurisdiction of the Service C. Weld County Sheriff's Office will provide public service to visitors within his capability- and manpower.- D. Weld County Sheriff's Office will dispatch additional deputies within his man- power capabilities for unseen or emergency situations upon request of the Service. III. Billings Weld County Sheriff's Office will provide the Service with a billing for reimburs- able services outlined in Clause I once a month. The statements will be in sufficient detail to allow the Service to tie these expenditures back to reimbursable expenses and rate schedule contained in Clause VI and will be certified by the Cooperator who claimed expenses are current and proper. Operating and Financial Plan-Page 2 IV. The Service agreed: A. To reimburse the Weld County Sheriff's Office upon receipt of satisfactory statements of expenditures in accordance with the following schedule but not to exceed a total of $1,000.00 for this agreement. B. To loan to the Weld County Sheriff's Office equipment as needed and when mutually agreed to. A list of such equipment will be attached to this plan as Appendix when needed. V. Rate Schedule for Reimbursable Services: Clause I - Salary: 4 hours per week x 18 weeks @ $8.68/hr. = $625. Vehicle: - 4 hours per week x 18 weeks @ $5.20/hr. = 374. Total $999.
