REMARKS: The Aid to Families with Dependent Children caseload increased by 46 families during
October compared with the prior month. The Food Stamp caseload, however, showed a decrease in
participation of 90 families compared with the prior month. Other caseloads did not show re-
markable change.
Current public assistance caseloads, compared with the prior year in the major categories, show:

The Department continues to handle over 1,000 Social Service cases receiving Day Care, Child
Protection, Foster Care, and other services.
Expenditures for October, 1980 were $650,456. The Department remains slightly under budget
with 82.4% expended after 10 months of 1980 has gone by.
