Dear Don:
As you are aware, the charges for identical service have been
considerably less in Weld County, than they have in Greeley. The
reason is that in the original negotiations with your city, we
agreed to hold rates at the same level for two years . This has
given the people in your community the opportunity to get
acquainted with Cablevision at a relatively lower price .
Because our company continues to sustain very significant
operating losses, and because we are well past the two year
moritorium, we must now move to equalize the rates in both
communities. Here is the present rate for Weld County in the
column on the left and rate as of August 1, 1984 in the column on
the right.

P.S. You will recall that our franchise agreement with Weld
County requires that our rates not be higher than those in
Greeley. Because of a small increase in Greeley' s rates going
into effect August 1, the rate in Weld County will still be about
5% less than Greeley. /11 {

me concerning rate changes. The Board has no problem with your move to
equalize the rates now that the initial two year period has ended.
